Why Indiana Will Win

Don't be too fooled by Maryland getting the gift of Minnesota in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament - this is still the team that couldn't get the offense going against Ohio State and Penn State at the end of the regular season. 

This is a true home court team that was amazing in College Park and went just 1-9 in its ten games away from it before getting the Gopher free space. 

The Terps don't force enough takeaways and mistakes, they're not good enough on the boards, and they're not deep. As long as Indiana - the best shooting team in the Big Ten - keeps the pressure on with points and doesn't start giving the ball away, they should be fine.

Why Maryland Will Win

Maryland's defense is strong enough from three to keep IU from getting comfortable.

It's not like the Hoosiers rely on doing anything consistently from the outside, but they make them when they take them. The threes might not come in bulk, but they're timely. Maryland should clamp down on that.

The Terps got them the first time around by holding the IU attack to just 55 points and 38% from the floor - they allowed just three made threes. 

Teams hit just 42% from the field against Maryland, and Indiana is 3-6 when it makes fewer than 45% of its shots. So ...
