College Football Playoff Projections

This is about to get really, really weird.

The Pac-12 is about to eat itself up with Oregon, Washington, USC, Oregon State, UCLA, and others all battling in a weekly fight that will screw up the whole conference. Washington might have taken a big step with its victory over Oregon, but there will still likely be two losses out there.

Florida State and the Oklahoma/Texas winner appear to be steamrolling to a spot, and despite looking less than amazing, Georgia should grab one of the four spots, too.

And then there's the Big Ten.

Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State are all right there - one or all of them could make it in - and even Iowa with one loss might ... nah. So what happens if the Wolverines, Buckeyes, and Nittany Lions all end up 11-1?

The call - for now - is that Ohio State will survive on a deep tie-breaker that goes off of Big Ten West opponents. The Buckeyes will have played a tougher Big Ten schedule - that Iowa win over Wisconsin might be a huge deal, but more has to happen to help Penn State.

As always, we'll change this up on the fly each week. For now, here's our call on the College Football Playoff and CFP National Championship matchups.
