2019 Troy Football Schedule Analysis

– The Trojans ease into the season with a date against Campbell before getting a week off before dealing with a tough Southern Miss team. Throw in the road game at Akron, and a 3-0 start is expected under new head coach Chip Lindsey. The other non-conference game is against Missouri on the road, but that’s not until the beginning of October.

– The showdown against Appalachian State in the East is the last game of the regular season, and it’s at home. The Georgia Southern game is at home, too – there’s no excuse not to win the division. However, on the down side, there’s a run from October 5th to November 23rd with five road games and just two at home.

– One of those road games is a battle against Louisiana from the West, but the Arkansas State game is at home. The Trojans miss ULM – not bad – and go to Texas State and deal with South Alabama on the road.
