Toledo (0-1) vs. Murray State (1-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
After a mediocre performance against Kentucky in a 38-24 loss, Toledo gets back on the field after two weeks off and before going to Colorado State. It’s time to get the season going.
The Rockets were surprisingly punchless against UK, couldn’t move the chains, and couldn’t stop a passing game that’s pedestrian at best. This week, the pass rush has to get going against a Murray State offensive line that couldn’t do anything to slow down Georgia’s defensive front last week, but it’s the other side that needs to have some fun.
Jake Fromm took target practice, hitting 10-of-11 passes to go along with an easy day from the ground attack. That’s what Toledo needs, and it’ll get it.
Mitchell Guadagni and the passing game will open it up with a big day, but Murray State will hang around until the third quarter with its own offense going enough to make it a game. The Rockets will pull away, but they’ll have to work a bit too hard. The final score will be worse than the actual game.
