What’s Going To Happen
South Alabama’s defense hasn’t been able to do enough so far to think it’ll keep the UAB offense under wraps.
Tyler Johnston got past a horrible game against Alabama State to bomb away on Akron for 319 yards and four scores, and this week the downfield passing game will take over right away.
The USA defense will come up with a few takeaways to keep the game alive, and the secondary that allows just 173 yards per game through the air will do its part to hold down Johnston and company.
The problem? The Jaguars won’t be able to do anything on its own through the air, and it won’t come up with the scoring drives needed in the second half after the Blazer ground game takes over the tempo. The Blazer defensive front will stall just enough drives to force too many empty Jaguar drives.
