What’s Going To Happen
All Louisiana has to do is win, and next week is for the Sun Belt West title – and it’ll be bowl eligible.
The Ragin’ Cajuns haven’t been consistent, but when the score more than 30 points, they win.
South Alabama has allowed 30 points or more in all nine games against FBS teams.
The Jaguars just can’t move the ball – and they just can’t stop getting flagged. The penalties aren’t their main issue, but they’re getting hit with a nation-high 84 yards per game, and they can’t afford to lose one.
This is hardly a complete Louisiana team, but it can move the chains, run well enough to get by, and it doesn’t turn the ball over enough to be a regular problem.
And it only gets flagged around five times a game.
The defense will give up just enough points in the first half to make this a bit of a battle, and then the ground game will take over with Elijah Mitchell building off of his 136-yard day against Georgia State last week – and with Trey Regas expected to be back in the mix after getting dinged up last week – to keep the Ragin’ Cajun season rolling.
