Why Oklahoma State Will Win
The offensive line is giving the backfield time to work.
It hasn’t been good enough for the ground game, and it hasn’t been all that consistent, but that’s what happens when you go against the Utah defensive front and decide to start throwing against Arkansas.
The line isn’t letting anyone get behind the line on a regular basis, and now it’s up to Alan Bowman to do more with the time.
The seven-year veteran threw a ton against Arkansas, but he wasn’t accurate enough. He threw for over 200 yards against Utah, but he only hit 49% of his passes.
The downfield plays weren’t there in either game, and it allowed the respective defenses to tee off on the ground game.

Kansas State has a pass rush.
It didn’t show up against Arizona in sacks, but it generated pressure. It made a few nice plays against BYU, but that was a bizarre total team meltdown of a loss.
The problem for Oklahoma State is that it’s not really up to Bowman. Teams are stopping Ollie Gordon and making the Cowboys try to open it up a little bit. It’s not working well enough.
