College Football Playoff Projections: Which SEC Teams Will Get In? Who Will Get The Top 4 Seeds?

Latest CFP projections predict the SEC teams that will get in, the top four seeds, and a big surprise in the matchups.

As a heads up, the latest College Football Playoff bracket predictions are broken down in detail and how it's going to happen - we think - but here are the matchups as a part of the latest bowl projections.

Which SEC teams will get the call? How many Big 12 and ACC teams will get in? What will happen to Indiana, Notre Dame, and the rest of the teams in the mix? Here's our explanation.

So how are these put together? Here are the latest thoughts.

We admit that we're probably reading the Texas situation wrong. The committee LOVES the Longhorns, even if they haven't beaten anyone great yet, so they might get the benefit of the doubt. However, we're sticking with our call that the winner of Texas vs Texas A&M is in, and the loser will be out.

We also admit the the SEC Championship tie-breaker situation is impossible right now. There are still way too many moving parts, and one upset throws it all out of wack. This is our best guess.

SMU is a wild-card. As it keeps needing to be said, in the College Football Playoff era no Power Five team with 11 wins would've been left out. This might get put to the test if the Mustangs don't win the ACC title, especially if BYU - the one team that it lost to so far - doesn't get in.

There's no reseeding. The 8-9 winner plays the 1, 7-10 winner plays the 2, 6-11 winner plays the 3, and the 5-12 winner plays the 4.

1 vs 8-9 plays the 4 vs 5-12, and 2 vs 7-10 plays 3 vs 6-11.
