Colorado State Rams College Football Preview 2021: Top Players
Best Colorado State Rams Offensive Player
TE Trey McBride, Jr.
The team’s leading receiver followed up a strong 45-catch sophomore season with 22 grabs for 330 yards and four touchdowns in the four games of 2020. The Second Team All-Mountain West performer last season can block a bit, he can stretch the field, and he’s got the 6-4, 260-pound size to be a matchup problem.

Best Colorado State Rams Defensive Player
DE Scott Patchan, Sr.
Okay at Miami, he made the move over to Colorado State and in four games turned into one of the best defensive players in the conference. The 6-6, 255-pounder earned First Team All-Mountain West honors with 5.5 sacks and 22 tackles, doing a nice job with a steady campaign.
He’s got a relentless style that keeps on working, and he’s got the guys around him to help take some of the blocking heat off.

Top Incoming Colorado State Rams Transfer
DT Mike Ciaffoni, Soph.
The Rams are already set at defensive tackle – and they could really use a good transfer of a quarterback to step in – but there can’t be too many options for the rotation. The 6-3, 280-pound Ciaffoni comes from Boston College and looked strong enough to see plenty of time right away.
