Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott has his new contract extension, and now he has to go out there and get his team to keep the offense rolling against a dangerous Troy squad. The Panthers are more explosive and more consistent – and they’re getting 2.5 points.

Which Georgia Tech team will show up? Clemson is Clemson, but 73-7? Come on – you’re better than that. Boston College hasn’t been consistent, and there’s NO running game, but at home only giving away three is a relative gift.

Good luck trying to live through the ups and downs of Kentucky. Is this the week the formula doesn’t work? Can Missouri get scoring early and force the Cats out of their comfort zone? After two straight good performances, giving away 4.5 to Mizzou isn’t bad.

Don’t deal with West Virginia-Texas Tech unless you absolutely have to. The Red Raiders should be stronger at home, but West Virginia is better. The Mountaineers haven’t been consistent, and Texas Tech’s offense might get hot now that the team has settled in with Henry Colombi at quarterback. If you must, like the West Virginia defense more than the Texas Tech offense.

What about LSU so far leads you to believe it’s ready to start playing well? The defense has been a disaster, and now the offense doesn’t have Myles Brennan. Even so, it’s only giving away six points to … South Carolina? Really? You’re going to buy into the Gamecocks to put together two straight good games against brand name teams? Yeah.

Unfortunately, the world figured out that South Alabama was way undervalued. The line started at 15 against ULM, dipped to 14 for a while, and it quickly bounced back to 15. Whatever. Until ULM can prove it can do something right – and by fewer than 15 points – assume it can’t.

You might be getting a big break with Utah State at Boise State. Boise State is a whole lot better, and it has the far better name recognition, but Utah State has just enough talent to at least not get obliterated. The line went up from Broncos -15 to 17, and you like that. Wait, and it’ll get to 18 by Saturday evening.
CFN Game Preview, Prediction

It’s a big assumption, but in the season opener, and without anything to go on, assume Wyoming can do what it does better than Nevada will be able to do what it does. The Cowboys might be on the road, but the 2.5 points aren’t that many to give away for a team that can totally dominate if it all goes according to plan.
