1. College Football News Preview 2020: NC State Wolfpack Win Total Prediction, What Will Happen
It’s NC State – it’s going to bounce back.
Dave Doeren had a rough first season going 3-9 in 2013, and then the wins started coming with five straight winning campaigns, five straight bowl appearances, and two straight 9-4 seasons before last year’s clunker.
Injuries were a massive issue – especially on the defensive side – and the offense had to break into a whole slew of new parts, especially at quarterback. The team struggled to get going, but it started 4-2, and then it all fell apart.
That should all quickly change – at least that’s the hope for Doeren.
On the plus side, the defensive woes forced a whole slew of players to get on the field a bit too early, but the offensive side needs one of the young quarterback options to rise up and rock – the downfield passing game has to show up, along with the points.
Set The NC State Wolfpack Regular Season Win Total At … 5.5
It helps that the schedule just isn’t all that bad.
There’s no Clemson or Notre Dame. Start with there, and there’s no whining about anything else.
What’s the toughest game? At Virginia Tech, and going to North Carolina isn’t easy, but that’s really about it. there’s no game on the schedule that NC State absolutely can’t win.
Getting to at least six wins and a bowl game – whatever that is – has to be a given, and if the offense can be night-and-day stronger, there’s a reasonable shot at being the No. 2 team in the Atlantic if the Pack can at least split the two nasty road games against the Hokies and Tar Heels.
