1. College Football News Preview 2020: Auburn Tigers Win Total Prediction, What Will Happen

The Tigers have a whole lot of reworking to do on both sides of the ball.

The lines need an overhaul of starters, the secondary needs time to get the right pieces in place, the running back rotation needs to emerge, and Bo Nix has to be consistently better for the passing game. However, the team will get the time to gear it all up.

There’s no Oregon to start the season like last year. The schedule has a few interesting battles early on, but the trip to Georgia in Week 2 is enormous.

The talent is there. The recruiting classes have been great, there’s going to be good depth with a little time, and there’s more than enough NFL athleticism and pop all across the board. There will be plenty of concerns right out of the gate …

Set The Auburn Tigers Regular Season Win Total At … 7

Bet on Auburn at BetMGM

Alcorn State, North Carolina – played in Atlanta – at Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Kentucky. That. was supposed to be the start of the season, and that was supposed to be how Auburn built up a huge base of wins to get ready for the meaty part of the campaign.

Now the warm-up is Kentucky, and that’s hardly a breeze.

Texas A&M and LSU have to come to Jordan-Hare, and going to Mississippi State in the second half of the season shouldn’t be an issue after getting a week off to prepare.

Can the Tigers at least split the road games at Georgia and Alabama? There’s going to be one other slip-up along the way – watch out for Texas A&M coming after the Iron Bowl in the regular season finale – but the difference between a good season and a great one will likely come down to whether or not there are any brain-cramp losses.

Again, the talent is in place to hope for something big, but expect a stepping-stone season leading to a massive 2021.
