3. The Temple quarterback situation …
Junior Anthony Russo was the main man under center for Temple for most of the season, but sophomore Todd Centeio got in plenty of work and took over early on against the Tar Heels.
Russo is a bit steadier of a hand, and Centeio is more mobile. Now, Temple has an interesting quarterback situation this offseason.
Russo completed 12-of-20 asses for 128 yards and a pick Centeio completed 6-of-12 passes for 66 yards and a touchdown with an interception, and neither one did much for the running game.
It wasn’t the fault of either quarterback that Temple loss, but neither one looked comfortable, and the game quickly got out of hand as the O failed to keep things moving time and again.
Rod Carey is going to have to decide on his one guy to lead the way going forward, and now, this will be one of the most interesting quarterback battles in spring ball.
There aren’t any quarterback concerns at North Carolina, though.
