4. Micale Cunningham is going to be a thing
The Louisville junior quarterback had some rough moments this year.
He struggled against Kentucky, didn’t do anything against Clemson, and he wasn’t always on, but he managed to bomb away as well as any quarterback in the country not named Burrow, and when he was on, the Cardinal offense was dominant.
It might have taken a little while to get rolling, but he finished completing 16-of-23 passes for 279 yards and two scores, and ran 16 times for 81 yards against an SEC defense that had a month to get ready to stop him.
In a perfect world, seven of the top eight pass catchers are back, the top two running backs are underclassmen, and with four of the top five offensive linemen from the bowl game expected to return, Cunningham will have the weapons around him.
This is going to be a whole lot of fun.
