2. Manny Diaz hot seat watch is on
The Dan Enos Experience appears to be done.
That’s what happens when your offense finishes 120th in the nation rushing and averaged fewer than 28 points per game, but there was a wee bit of a passing game.
Miami was able to throw for 257 yards per game and was able to bomb away here and there.
Obviously, there was an issue on the coaching staff before this total debacle, and it showed with this miserable overall performance.
And now, Manny Diaz will be on every preseason hot seat watch list.
It would be one thing if Miami stumbled like this against another Power Five program, but to be THIS bad to close out the season – losing to FIU, Duke, and now getting shutout by Louisiana Tech – is a massive concern.
Willie Taggart was canned at FSU midway through the season, and next year, anything less than a big start will be a disaster.
Miami gets Temple, Wagner, UAB and at Michigan State to get it all going. The Canes had better be far more explosive, far more consistent, and far, far stronger.
They need to look the part, because this loss is going to linger for the next eight months.
