South Carolina QB Jake Bentley to transfer

Once seen as the possible franchise star quarterback for South Carolina, Bentley will transfer after missing most of last season hurt with a foot injury, and with the emergence of Ryan Hilinski as the starter to build around. Bentley completed 63% of his passes for 7,527 yards and 55 touchdowns with 32 picks.

Missouri TE Albert Okwuegbunam to turn pro

The 6-5, 255-pound Tiger tight end will turn pro early after catching 98 passes for 1,187 yards and 23 touchdowns in his career. He’s had a few problems staying healthy, but he’s got the size and skills to be a late first round pick, and he’ll definitely go in the top 50.

Old Dominion head coach Bobby Wilder resigns

After 13 years at ODU – and following an ugly 1-11 season with no wins over any FBS teas – head coach Bobby Wilder will resign. The school’s first and only football coach went 77-56 with a Bahamas Bowl win in 2016 and two trips to the FCS playoffs.
