What’s Going To Happen
Old Dominion hasn’t had any luck since slipping past Norfolk State to start the season with eight straight losses, and now it has game against a team that can actually beat.
UTSA has won two of its last four games, but those two wins are against UTEP and Rice, who have beaten no one. Win this week, though, and the Roadrunners at 4-5 are at least in range of being bowl eligible.
Neither team is getting a thing from the offensive line, and it’s showing with no running game from ODU, and the UTSA passing game isn’t getting any time to work.
The Monarchs are dead last in the nation in total offense – they’re averaging just 237 yards per game – and they’re not getting any better. UTSA’s defense isn’t going to let much happen down the field – it doesn’t get hit for big plays – but ODU will finally get the O going just a little bit.
This is where freshman QB Hayden Wolff makes the Monarch QB job his with just enough of a passing game to slip past a UTSA offense that will stall again and again in the second half.
