USF (1-3) vs. UConn (1-3) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Anytime you want to get the offense going, South Florida, that would be great.
And no, hanging 55 on South Carolina State doesn’t count.
The Bulls have had a rough time in the 1-3 start, with a massively disappointing running game and no production from the offensive line. The passing attack can’t get going – again, the line isn’t helping the cause – and there’s just no moving the chains.
And then there’s UConn.
The Huskies also haven’t beaten an FBS team this year. The defense is better than the 2018 version, but it’s still mediocre, it’s not getting anything going in the backfield, and there’s not enough consistent offense production to overcome the issues on the other side.
Now the Huskies are without starting quarterback Steven Krajewski – lost for several weeks to a broken clavicle – with Mike Beaudry now back in after starting in the opener.
The Bulls might be having massive issues, but they’ll great at coming up with takeaways, they’ll be a +2 in the turnover margin, and they’ll do a bit more to get into the offensive backfield than the Huskies will.
