Missouri (5-1) vs. Vanderbilt (1-5) Game Preview
Why Missouri Will Win
Vanderbilt lost to UNLV.
The Commodore offense is a complete and utter disaster. It can’t convert on third downs, there’s no downfield passing game even with a good group of receivers to work with, and there’s no scoring pop.
The defense isn’t doing much better.
Where’s the pass rush? Where are the big plays? Where’s the toughness against the run?
Mizzou leads the SEC in pass defense, the defense overall has been incredible, and everyone’s struggling to convert on third downs against this group.
No, the Tigers haven’t beaten anyone who’s any good, but again, Vanderbilt isn’t any good, either. It shouldn’t take more than a few scoring drives to put this away.

What’s Going To Happen
Vanderbilt lost to UNLV.
It’s a maddening Commodore team coming off a good season. It has enough talent to be a whole lot better than this, but it’s been way too much of a disaster when it comes to doing anything consistently right.
Missouri isn’t so good that it can just show up and roll, but if this really is a team strong enough to be an annoying factor in the SEC East race over the second half of the season, this is the type of game that Kelly Bryant and company have to take down without working too hard.
It’ll take a quarter, but then the Tigers will open it up and pull away.
