What’s Going To Happen
Miami University just keeps on hanging around, and now it’s time to go on a run.
It came up with a tough win over Northern Illinois, and now it has to win on the road at Kent State and Ohio. Do that, and with Bowling Green and Akron to follow, the game at Ball State will probably be a preview of the MAC Championship.
The RedHawks can’t move the chains, can’t run the ball, and have the nation’s third-worst offense. So how’s it coming up with wins?
The defense is screwing everyone up.
It’s not a brick wall, but it’s getting behind the line, and it’s coming up with the timely special teams play here and there. There’s nothing pretty about RedHawk games, but it’s finding ways to get by.
Kent State might be struggling still, but it’s 3-4, it’s got a decent offense, and more than anything else, it’s interesting and competitive.
The efficient Golden Flash passing game will be effective enough to put points on the board, but the O line won’t be able to to deal with the MU defensive front.
It’ll be a tight game, but Kent State will get it fourth win of the season because it has an offense, and Miami doesn’t.
