Marshall (2-2) vs. Middle Tennessee (1-3) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Both teams are coming off painful humblings. Middle Tennessee was shut down cold in a 48-3 loss to Iowa, and Marshall got thumped 52-14 by Cincinnati.
The Blue Raiders aren’t able to do much of anything on third downs on either side of the ball, but the biggest overall problem is a D line that can’t handle anyone’s running game. Dead last in the nation in time of possession, they’re not able to control any aspect of games.
The Thundering Herd aren’t able to do much of anything on third downs on either side of the ball, but the biggest overall problem is a passing game that can’t seem to complete anything on a consistent basis. They can’t control the clock or games, either.
The one big difference is a Marshall ground game that should be able to rumble at will on the Blue Raider defensive front. Even on the road, the Thundering Herd should be able to get out alive thanks to the great group of backs that can all carry the load.
