What’s Going To Happen
After losing two straight to Boise State and Air Force, Hawaii needs to pull up out of the slide fast by destroying an awful New Mexico team that can’t seem to get anything going.
The Lobos won’t have QB Sheriron Jones, who’s been suspended indefinitely from the team. Tevaka Tuoti is an explosive runner, but it’s not going to matter.
The Hawaii passing game is about to go ballistic.
Wyoming can’t throw a forward pass without burning it in the ground – New Mexico’s pass defense caught a breakfast week in the loss. Before that, the Lobos allowed 300 passing yards or more in each of the six games, and 400 or more in four of those.
However, the Hawaii run defense is about to get ripped to shreds, too.
It’s not that New Mexico can’t run; it’s that it can’t score. The bigger problem will be the turnovers that the O keeps giving away. Hawaii will give up the ball, but so will New Mexico.
Expect a fun shootout with a whole lot of points and close to 450 Hawaii passing yards.
