UNLV (1-2) vs. Wyoming (3-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Is this when UNLV’s offense finally shows up? A little bit, but the defense won’t help the cause in key spots.
It’s been a rough run so far for a Rebel attack that wasn’t able to do anything in blowout losses to Arkansas State and Northwestern, and now it has to deal with a Wyoming defense that’s crushing everyone by getting into the backfield and hitting the quarterback on a consistent basis.
The Cowboy secondary is struggling, and there’s no passing game to count on, but the offensive line is doing a good job and the running game is working just enough to get by. It was able to rip through Missouri, and QB Sean Chambers has been able to move well enough to hit several home runs, and now the attack gets to work against a Rebel defensive front that’s having a whole lot of issues.
The Rebels don’t have a passing game, either, but Charles Williams is a dangerous back who can take over the game. Expect UNLV to be okay on the ground, but in a low scoring game, the Wyoming defensive front will be the difference with more consistent plays in the backfield.
