Miami (0-2) vs. Bethune-Cookman (1-0) Game Preview
Why Bethune-Cookman Will Win
The Wildcat defense came up with a nice first performance in the win over Jackson State. It allowed a few too many rushing yards, but the secondary was terrific, there was good production on third downs, and there’s just enough of a pass rush to be a bother.
Miami’s offense has a hard time keeping the chains moving, there are way too many penalties, and the secondary has struggled too much considering the pass rush has been great, and there’s just enough missing in the first two games – the offensive line has been lousy – to make this a work-on-it game.
Why Miami Will Win
The Canes were really, really close to being 2-0 instead of 0-2. QB Jarren Williams has been excellent so far, and there haven’t been too many mistakes with just one takeaway.
Of course the Hurricanes are going to win this, but now at 0-2, getting a decisive win and a good performance is a must. Expect even more focus, better execution, and even more production from the offensive line. Bethune-Cookman is about to get a fully-functional Miami team.

What’s Going To Happen
The Canes will be able to call their shot. Bethune-Cookman will get just enough big plays behind the line against this Miami O line to have a few fun moments, but this will be ugly in a hurry.
