Cincinnati (2-1) vs. Marshall (2-1) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
Marshall’s offense has been a bit too flaky, and the Cincinnati defense is really good.
Just blow off everything that happened against Ohio State a few weeks ago.
The Bearcats are getting flagged a bit too much and the offense is just okay – they’re AWFUL at putting the biscuit in the basket; struggling way too much in the red zone – but the defensive line is good enough and the pass rush tough enough to give the Herd more than a few problems.
Marshall’s D is having problems on the money downs, and Isaiah Green is struggling to make the passing game rock, but the team doesn’t make a whole slew of mistakes and the offensive line is good enough to hold its own against what the Bearcats bring.
It’ll be a low-scoring game that’s going to expose the UC placekicking concerns and all the penalty problems – getting it for ten or more a game – but the grinding offense will be just effective enough to hold on after getting up early.
