2019 Preseason CFN AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE Offensive Player of the Year
QB D’Eriq King, Sr. Houston
If he’s 100% healthy after missing the last part of the year with a knee injury, get ready for King to be one of the nation’s biggest statistical superstars. He’s only 5-11 and 195 pounds, but he’s an accurate passer with a good deep arm, and he can move.
Before getting hurt, he was lightning up the world throwing for close to 3,000 yards with 36 touchdowns and just six picks, and he ran for 674 yards and 14 touchdowns. Now he’s Dana Holgorsen’s quarterback on what should be a devastating offense – look … out.

2018 Preseason CFN AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE Defensive Player of the Year
S Richie Grant, Jr. UCF
There’s plenty of NFL-caliber talent throughout the American Athletic Conference, but the 6-0, 194-pound Grant is a starting pro safety who just so happens to still be in the UCF secondary.
He’s what you want in a safety with size, range, hitting ability, and ball-hawking skills, leading the Knights with 109 tackles to go along with six interceptions and three forced fumbles.
