2019 Akron Zips Football Schedule Analysis
– The Zips start out the Tom Arth era with a. trio to Illinois, and UAB and Troy aren’t going to be layup non-conference games, either. The date at UMass is a must-win to have any realistic hopes of going bowling.
– The two biggest games in the East – Ohio and Buffalo – are at home. Miami University, though, is on the road, but that comes off an eight day break and just one game in two weeks. However, the showdowns against the RedHawks and Bobcats come within six days.
– Missing Western Michigan and Toledo from the West is nice, but having to go to Northern Illinois hurts. The other interdivisional games are at Central Michigan and at home against Eastern Michigan.
