2019 WKU Hilltoppers Football Schedule Analysis
– New head coach Tyson Helton started out with a warm-up against Central Arkansas before kicking off the Conference USA season at FIU. Playing Louisville in Nashville is interesting, and getting Army at home and going to Arkansas doesn’t make for an easy non-conference schedule.
– The Hilltoppers get Florida Atlantic and Middle Tennessee at home, but the other key East games against FIU and Marshall are on the road. Lose that game to FIU – it’s in Week 2, and there’s gong to be a problem over the first half of the season.
– Playing UAB and going to Southern Miss hurts. They miss North Texas from the West, and they don’t get the layups of Rice or UTEP.
