Breaking down and analyzing the 2019 West Virginia Mountaineers football schedule.
2019 West Virginia Mountaineers Football Schedule Analysis
– Neal Brown has a nasty FCS game to kick off the season – James Madison isn’t going to be a speed bump. Follow that up with a trip to Missouri, and then hosting NC State, and the Mountaineers have the toughest non-conference run of any Big 12 team.
– Going to Kansas isn’t all that bad for a conference opener, especially with a week off to prepare for what’s next. With Texas, Iowa State, and at Oklahoma coming up before getting another week off, getting through that stretch 2-1 would be a massive plus.
– There’s a five-week run to close things out, alternating road games with home dates, going to Baylor, Kansas State and TCU, and hosting Texas Tech and Oklahoma State. It’s hardly an easy stretch, but at least Oklahoma and Texas will be out of the way.
