2019 Wake Forest Demon Deacons Football Schedule Analysis

– The Demon Deacons open up with a dangerous date against a Utah State team with a good, strong offense. Going to Rice shouldn’t be too much of a problem a week later, and facing Elon is a nice break between two ACC games – sort of. In a strange twist, there’s no fourth non-conference game, so Wake Forest is playing North Carolina – it won’t count in ACC play.

– Considering the UNC game is just a game and not a part of the conference tally, it’ll be a nice tune-up for the rest of the ACC play. There’s no Miami or Pitt from the Coastal, playing Virginia Tech on the road and hosting Duke.

– The official ACC season starts off at Boston College, but there’s a week off to follow before getting home games against Louisville and Florida State – the team doesn’t leave North Carolina in October. Three of the last four games are on the road including back-to-back games against the Hokies and Clemson. The regular season ends at Syracuse.
