Breaking down and analyzing the 2019 UCLA Bruins football schedule.
2019 UCLA Bruins Football Schedule Analysis
– There’s a chance to make amends for last year’s Chip Kelly-era opening loss to Cincinnati by returning the favor at UC. That’s not easy, and neither is the San Diego State game to follow. If that wasn’t enough of a challenge, Oklahoma comes to town to close out the non-conference slate. On the plus side, start 3-0, and UCLA become a national big thing right away.
– As if the non-conference schedule wasn’t challenging enough, the Burins start out the Pac-12 world with two games on the road, going to Washington State and Arizona as part of a run of three road games in four dates.
The other road game is at Stanford, but they get Oregon State at home to help balance out the North games. There’s no Washington and no Oregon, closing out the regular season against Cal.
– The USC game is on the road, but that’s hardly a normal away game. The road trip to Utah will be the issue right before that, but that and the Stanford game are the only times the Bruins leave Los Angeles over the final two months of the season.
