2019 Ole Miss Rebels Football Schedule Analysis
– Now it’s on. Now there’s bowl eligibility to play for – there’s pressure to not blow it in the early games. That might not be so easy with the season kicking off at Memphis. SE Louisiana isn’t a problem in non-conference play a few weeks later, but that’s followed up by what might be the ultimate all-offense vs. all-defense showdown against Cal. New Mexico State finishes up the non-SEC part of all of this, but that’s not until early November.
– The SEC season kicks off with a must-win home game against Arkansas. The Texas A&M and LSU dates against the West are at home, but the Rebels have to go to Alabama and Auburn. At least there’s an open date before dealing with the Tigers. The Egg Bowl? It’s in Starkville, but at least there’s a week off to prepare for Mississippi State.
– As always, the interdivisional game against Vanderbilt is a nice break, and it’s at home. That’s followed up by the other date against the East – at Missouri. Yeah, it’s on the road, but there’s no Georgia or Florida to deal with.
