2019 Ohio State Buckeyes Football Schedule Analysis
– The official, full-time Ryan Day era kicks off against Lane Kiffin and Florida Atlantic at home. That’s no picnic, and facing former Buckeye head man Luke Fickell and Cincinnati the week after should be a fight, too. However, there aren’t any non-conference games against Power Five programs – Miami University is the other.
– There aren’t any breaks in the interdivisional matchups. The Big Ten season starts out at Nebraska, but there’s a week off before having to go to Northwestern in a Big Ten Championship rematch. That’s followed up by a home game against Wisconsin.
– The Michigan State game is at home, but the Buckeyes will have to wait a while before dealing with the other big boys from the East. The regular season closes out with Penn State coming to Columbus, and then the showdown against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
