4. Jake Browning’s final game
Dwayne Haskins might have been the signature star coming into this, but Jake Browning threw for more yards.
There weren’t the touchdown passes, and he had to bomb away to try getting back into the game late, but he threw for 313 yards with no interceptions as he rallied the Huskies back to get close late.
He finished out his career with 12,296 passing yards, 94 touchdowns, two Pac-12 championship, one College Football Playoff run, and a Rose Bowl appearance.
With this game, he moves up into an exclusive club of just 36 quarterbacks who finished their college career with over 12,000 yards, and he did it while passing Jared Goff to get there.
He might not have been the most imposing of passers, and he might not have been included among the elite of the elite on a national scale, but only Washington State’s Luke Falk and USC’s Matt Barkley finished their careers with more passing yards.
Georgia transfer Jacob Eason is likely up next for the Huskies. He might look the part, and he might have more talent, but good luck filling these shoes.
