5. Utah didn’t win a bowl game?

What are we supposed to believe in now?

No one owns bowl games like Utah head coach Kyle Whittingham.

His team lost to Boise State in the 2010 Maaco Las Vegas, but outside of that, the program was 14-1 in bowl games – helped by a few big victories from that Urban Meyer guy – as it became the measure of bowl success in college football.

And it all started out so promising …

It’s been a wonderful year. The team go to the Pac-12 Championship for the first time, there was a win over BYU, and through a few key injuries, the team pressed on and made the year something special.

But with the 10-3 brutally ugly conference title loss to Washington, and now this, the season soured up in a hurry.
