2019 North Carolina Tar Heels Football Schedule Analysis

– Mack Brown, good luck with this. The September is absolutely brutal, and it doesn’t get a whole lot better in October, either. The Tar Heels start out their new era in Charlotte against South Carolina, and have to deal with a still-nasty Appalachian State a few weeks later. The rest of the non-conference slate is weird, facing Mercer in late-November, and going to Wake Forest in a game not counting in the ACC standings. Now, back to that September …

– The Coastal season starts out against Miami in the first week of September, and the month ends with Clemson from the Atlantic. The other date against the other division doesn’t come until the very end, going to NC State.

– After closing out the first month against Clemson, the Tar Heels leave North Carolina until the end of October, going to Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech – with a week off in between. They have to go on the road to face defending Coastal champion Pitt, too.
