2019 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Schedule Analysis

– The Huskers ease their way into the season with a home date against South Alabama, but they’ll get a good early test with a trip to Colorado to face the new-look Buffaloes under Mel Tucker. Northern Illinois is undergoing a facelift, too, in a quietly dangerous finish to the non-conference part of the fun.

– They only have to go away from home twice between September 7th and November 2nd. The Minnesota game is on the road, but they welcome in defending West champ Northwestern in the run. Best of all, in November, they get a week off to prepare for a home date against Wisconsin, and close out with Iowa coming to Lincoln.

– There’s a showdown against Ohio State from the East, but at least it’s at home. All things considered, it’s not totally awful in terms of the interdivisional matchups, getting Indiana after a week off, going to Maryland, and missing Michigan, Michigan State and Penn State.
