2019 Liberty Flames Football Schedule Analysis

– The Hugh Freeze era starts out with Syracuse having to be on high alert in Williams Stadium. That’s not it for the Power Five games. The Flames go to Rutgers in October 26th and play Virginia in late November. On the right day, both are winnable.

– After the first three games against Syracuse, Louisiana and Buffalo, the Flames play just two teams that went bowling the rest of the way. Like last year, there’s the funky quirk of two games against New Mexico State, playing in Albuquerque in early October and in Lynchburg at the end of the season.

– Liberty seemingly isn’t at home in the second half of the season. They go from October 19th vs. Maine until November 30th against New Mexico State without a home game. There are four straight road games – with an off-week – on the road, but one of the games is against Virginia.
