2019 Duke Blue Devils Football Schedule Analysis

– The answer to the question of which sacrificial lamb gets to deal with a really, really, really angry Alabama to start the season … Duke. The break comes the following week against North Carolina A&T, followed up by a trip to face Middle Tennessee. The Blue Devils get Notre Dame, too, but that’s in November coming after a week off.

– Duke closes out the season with Miami at home, but it has to go to Virginia Tech in Coastal play. It gets defending division champ Pitt at home along with Georgia Tech, but going on the road to face North Carolina won’t be a breeze.

– Missing Clemson and Florida State is always a good break, but the Blue Devils face Syracuse from the Atlantic and go on the road to play Wake Forest. Overall, on the plus side, Duke leaves North Carolina just once after September.
