Kentucky (13-3) at Auburn (13-3)

Game Time: 4:00 ET
TV Network: ESPN

Starting to figure it out again after starting out SEC play with a loss to Alabama, Kentucky has to go on the road to deal with an Auburn team that’s starting to get more and more recognition – now the Tigers have to be more consistent.

Auburn’s defense is fantastic, the three point shooting is strong, and the formula works. However, Kentucky has the rebounders to negate the Tigers’ normal advantage. The Wildcats might not always be pretty, but they’re effective at scoring in bunches. At home, though, Auburn will win on threes. UK won’t get enough rebounds to make a difference.

Prediction: Auburn 77, Kentucky 74
Line: Auburn -4.5, o/u: 144.5

Virginia (16-0) at Duke (14-2)

Game Time: 6:00 ET
TV Network: ESPN

Can the Virginia defense slow things down enough and do enough defensively to handle the Duke firepower in Durham? The Blue Devils are coming off the thrilling overtime loss to Syracuse, while Virginia just keeps on rolling with seven straight blowout wins.

Duke’s offense – Cam Reddish will play – will get on enough of a roll to push Virginia out of its shell, but the Blue Devil defensive pressure will end up making the difference in the second half. The Cavaliers will keep it close by hitting their free throws – and Duke won’t – but it’ll be a statement moment for the young Duke squad that’s not going to lose two straight at home.

Prediction: Duke 73, Virginia 68
Line: Duke -2, o/u: 139

Texas Tech (15-2) at Baylor (10-6)

Game Time: 6:00 ET
TV Network: ESPN2

Texas Tech dropped a tough game to Iowa State after winning five straight and moving up in the polls. Now it gets a Baylor team that has played well, but is too inconsistent and having too many problems in tight games.

The Bears have the biggest issue making threes, and they have problems on the defensive boards, too. But Texas Tech doesn’t do much from the outside, either. The Red Raider defense will put the clamps down, it’ll force enough steals for easy points, and there won’t be enough BU points with Tristan Clark out.

Prediction: Texas Tech 68, Baylor 63
Line: Texas Tech -3.5, o/u: 125

Oklahoma (13-4) at Texas (10-7)

Game Time: 8:00 ET
TV Network: Longhorn

Oklahoma just can’t get this thing going. Good enough to beat TCU one day, and get rocked at home by Kansas State a few days later, the Sooners can’t seem to go on a run in Big 12 play, alternating loss-win-loss-win-loss. Texas is having even bigger problems, coming in on a three-game losing streak.

The Longhorns don’t have a whole lot of scoring punch lately, but they lead the Big 12 in three point shots taken. Oklahoma doesn’t move the ball all that well and turn it over too often, but it’s great on the boards. At home, the Texas defense will lock down in a low-scoring, tight battle, but Oklahoma will hit its free throws, and the Longhorns won’t.

Prediction: Oklahoma 68, Texas 66
Line: Texas -4, o/u: 135.5

NEXT: Houston (17-1) at USF (12-5)
Mississippi State (13-3) at Vanderbilt (9-7)
Gonzaga (17-2) at Portland (7-12)
Air Force (7-10) at Nevada (17-1)
