Breaking down and analyzing the 2019 Baylor Bears football schedule.
2019 Baylor Bears Football Schedule Analysis
– It’s Baylor – the non-conference schedule is light and breezy. The Bears should be an easy 3-0 before the end of September with Stephen F. Austin, UTSA, a week off, and then Rice to ease their way into the season. This is how it should be done – use the non-conference slate as a tune-up.
– The Bears get five of the nine conference games at home, and the trips are spaced out nicely. There’s a nicely-timed week off in late October before the Thursday night game against West Virginia, and there aren’t two road games in a row.
– The season comes down to mid-November with Oklahoma and Texas at home coming off a trip to TCU and the date with West Virginia. Almost all of the big boys have to come to Waco. Iowa State, West Virginia, Oklahoma, Texas – there’s no getting grouchy about the way it all plays out.
