5. Mike Leach in bowl games

It’s not like each hasn’t won bowl games.

For a while, he was among the surest thing each bowl season, with his Texas Tech teams going 5-1 in a six-year stretch in the 2000s. But his 2008 team lost the Cotton, and he was 1-3 in bowls as the head man at Wazzu.

At least, he was until now.

His Cougar teams should’ve beaten Minnesota and Michigan State in the last two Holidays, and neither one was close. This one should’ve rolled Iowa State, and didn’t cover, but …
