Buffalo QB Tyree Jackson is eventually going to be in the NFL. He threw for 274 yards and a touchdown with an interception and had fumbling issues. On the other side, Troy’s Sawyer Smith went off, completing 31-of-44 passes for 320 yards and four scores. 

Buffalo RB Jaret Patterson is a rising star. He was held to 67 yards with a score. Troy’s BJ Smith slashed his was for 93 yards and a touchdown on 20 carries.

Buffalo WR Anthony Johnson is probably a top 50 overall draft pick. He caught five passes for 67 yards, while Troy’s Damion Willis blew up for 13 catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns.

All the parts worked for Troy, and all the key guys didn’t do enough for UB. That’s why Troy won, but …
