Dollar General Bowl Preview & Prediction

5. Troy just keeps on rolling

Another year, another double-digit win season under head coach Neal Brown.

It’s a bit of a theme this bowl season – the hot young head coaches who struggle in these things, like Seth Littrell of North Texas and Mike Norvell of Memphis.

Brown is 3-0.

The program only made the move up to the FBS world in 2001, and this was just the eighth bowl game. Now it has won four straight and is 5-3 overall, but it’s Brown who has made it one of the Group of Five superstars.

This might not have been a Sun Belt championship season, but Troy has now won 31 games in three seasons, and it looks like the fun won’t stop anytime soon. More on that in a moment.
