TCU 10, Cal 7: 5 Thoughts On The Cheez-It Bowl

1. TCU earned this

TCU went through the ringer this season.

It pushed Ohio State hard in a closer-than-final score 40-28 loss, it lost starting quarterback Shawn Robinson – he’s now at Missouri – its offense suffered a slew of big losses, the injuries kept piling up, and the loses kept on coming.

But when the season appeared to be totally lost, the Horned Frogs managed to win three of their final four games, got by Baylor and Oklahoma State just to get bowl eligible,, and then, as ugly as it might have been, the team found a way.

Head coach Gary Patterson has won four of his last five bowl games, has won 11 of his last 15 at TCU, and the team found a way to get the job done.

No matter how it looked, a win is a win. And this team managed to win four of its last five games of the season.

It earned the winning campaign.
