2. Really, Georgia Tech … really?
This was the game for Paul Johnson. This was the end of the era. This was the moment when the O was supposed to be rested, ready, and able to rip apart a mediocre Minnesota defense that was down a few players.
It’s not like the Yellow Jackets were too sloppy – they only committed three penalties and didn’t turn it over until late when it didn’t matter. But they just weren’t the Yellow Jackets.
They didn’t attack like they did when they were humming, and they weren’t able to roll with the precision, timing and effectiveness they were supposed to.
This was supposed to be the showcase for the offense, the program, and the end of an era.
And it was a 34-10 Minnesota win.
