2. Skip Holtz is a bowl coaching god
He wasn’t for a while.
The Louisiana Tech head man stunk it up in the bowl world when he was at East Carolina, going 1-3 – but that one win was in the 2007 Hawaii Bowl against Boise State.
He one in his only bowl game appearance at USF – the 2010 Meineke Car Care against Clemson – and since taking over at Louisiana Tech, he’s now 5-0 in his six seasons.
It’s not like his Bulldogs are hammering the Alabamas and Ohio States of the world, but 5-0 in bowls makes alumni and college employers very, very happy.
