Fresno State 31, Arizona State 20: 5 Thoughts On The Las Vegas Bowl

2. Eno Benjamin day

Arizona State didn’t have N’Keal Harry. The passing game wasn’t working, and QB Manny Wilkins was struggling.

Fresno State’s Ron Rivers ran for 212 yards and two scores as the star, but Arizona State workhorse running back Eno Benjamin did everything he could to try to save the offense.

The Bulldogs did everything they could to wrap Benjamin up and swarm around him, but he still finished with 118 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries and caught two passes.

That the 118 yards seems so pedestrian underscores just how terrific his performance was trying to keep the game alive.

Fresno State’s defense stuffed everyone’s ground game all season long, allowing just 129 yards per game. Benjamin’s day should be graded on a curve.
