Again, it was a dead even game in a lot of ways, but one Bearcat stood out and took the game over when needed.

The sophomore put together a terrific season, running for 1,163 yards and 17 touchdowns despite missing a free 100 yards – or a whole lot more – by missing the regular season finale against East Carolina.

The 5-11, 218-pounder will now be one of the American Athletic Conference’s signature stars going into 2019, coming through when the team needed him the absolute most against the Hokies.

He ran 20 times for 166 yards and two touchdowns, grinding out good runs, tearing off a 40-yard scoring run, and coming up with the game-winner on an eight-yard scoring run with just over a minute to play.
