ULM (5-4) vs. South Alabama (2-7) Game Preview
What’s Going To Happen
On a three game winning streak, ULM is in a position to not only get bowl eligible, but to also stay in the lead for the West title and a spot in the first Sun Belt championship game. The big fish to fry are coming up next at Arkansas State and against Louisiana, but those are both dangerous.
Warhawks, get bowl eligible now.
South Alabama isn’t getting enough offense in the first year under Steve Campbell, failing to get more than 17 points in four of its last five games.
Turnovers are a problem, but the big issue this week will be the lines.
ULM is doing a great job of pressing the quarterback on a regular basis, and the offensive line is keeping everyone out of the backfield. Give QB Caleb Evans time – he carved up Georgia Southern for 337 passing yards and two scores last week – and he’s deadly.
The Warhawks aren’t going to blow up, but they’ll get up early and win comfortably. USA won’t have the offensive pop to make a push in the second half.
